This dish was quite substantial with what it seemed like Mexican-inspired flavours. It did not work for me, I found it just a bunch of average ingredients on a plate. The fritter was the most disappointing, it disintegrated too easily, and the corn just became part of the salsa. Potatoes could have had crispier skin. Overall, real disappointing, all this dish needed was some crispy nachos.
As a huge lover of mushrooms, this is a dream come true. I got my fix in style, well cooked and balanced with Parmesan and the sourness of the balsamic. The ricotta is welcome to cut down on the sourness and richness of the dish. The egg was necessary, at $3 that’s a little steep. The biggest disappointment was the bread too bulky and hard, it was difficult to maneuver and cut it without losing a few mushrooms to the table.
I have downgraded Three Williams. The food is not above average anymore, the dishes need some tweaking. The shakes are delicious but have increased by $1-2 since my last visit. With one of the best food cafes within a kilometre, I would always choose Devon on Danks over them.
