Guest Post: Indo Rasa by the Menu Munchers
Meet Brody and Alannah, the pair behind the new Instagram page @menu_munchers. These two rascals are just starting their hunt to uncover the hidden gems of Sydney’s food scene. Below is their review of Indo Rasa, an authentic family-run Indonesian restaurant located at 1/309 Anzac Parade, Kingsford.
UR kiddin urself if you think you got the full Indonesian experience from a two-week stint in Bali. Nup. SLIP on ur finest bintang singlet, SLOP ur way down to Anzac Parade and SLAP sum INDO RASA down ur throat cos thatβs how the locals do itβΌοΈ
Those stinkY light rail developments (gday Randwick city council if ur readin) havenβt slowed down the kitchen of grandmamma Yuli and her beautiful family. She was too shy for our camera but she wonβt hold back in sharing her heart with those who walk through her doors. When YOU do, you might find grandson Ricky proudly standing behind his selection of authentic Indo treats, smilin cos he knows his familyβs stirFry veggies will tastebud telePORT you out of Sydney to a place where the service is sunny, the satays are nutty and the rice is realllll fluFFY βββ This place is so homely that you will feel more like a long lost cousin sitting for dinner, rather than just another customer.
We sat down to fresh vegetables in a sticky satay sauce, steamed greens drizzled in fish sauce, a fried up tempeh block and a bowl of coconut rice. The satay was the standout winner here but make sure you dont forgo the coconut rice, this is worthy as a dish in itself, so DELISH.
Not only that, everything was served up quicker than a Pat Rafter forehand && for less than $10 per head. OoOh yea boii, this feed had us hula-hoopin home and thatβs why we rate INDO RASA 4 cools outta 5. ππππ/β»
