Review: Corn Exchange Restaurant at Four Points by Sheraton Sydney
Corn Exchange: Seafood Buffet
The Corn Exchange is one of the restaurants inside the Four Points Sheraton hotel on Sussex Street. Since it’s a buffet, we can skip food presentation. Atmosphere is relaxed, no smart wear is required. Dishes are restocked frequently and dirty plates are cleared relatively quickly.
~12 desserts including sponge cakes, creme brulee, fruit salad, Pavlova, cheese cake
~2 x ice cream (choc and vanilla)
The selection isn’t that big as you can see. The star of the show is of course the seafood as you know salad is just salad and since its DIY nothing much to add. The hot food is ordinary almost food courtish. There’s are no stand outs except the fresh mussels and oysters, for dessert it was the creme brulee.
For hot food, take fish or meat nearer to the top as the longer it has been standing the food at the bottom gets overcooked.
Always use a big plate.
Eat what you like first.
If dishing cutlery are left in the hot plate, it might burn you.
Started the seafood and as you can see from my photos that’s most of my meal that day.
The food at the Corn Exchange is simple and the variety is not that big and to be honest not worth paying full price for it i.e. $80pp. On the other hand, when on special($39.50pp), there’s enough seafood to binge on that you will not want to even smell sea water for weeks.
